Welcome! 

Chel and Charli here, extending a warm welcome to our blog! Recently, we decided to end our time with social media and what a relief that has been. We are excited to share our adventures and updates here instead, where our family and friends, regardless of their social media presence or lack thereof, can keep track of us. 

 Here's our brief history, for those of you who don't know us well: 

Chelle is a long-standing nick name from high school but most people call me Michelle. I work in higher education and am also working on my doctorate. I have been married to John for six years now (wow!). We currently live in the Midwest but are looking forward to the day that we are able to move back to the East Coast. When I am not working or doing schoolwork, Charli and I like to run, take walks, enjoy wilderness adventures, road trips, and relaxing around the house. Charli is my shadow and spends her days at my feet. 

Charli, short for Charlotte, is only one nickname. You might also see her called Charli-Barley or Char. She is a Goldendoodle and is also from upstate NY. Charli is two years old. She shares her birthday, April 30, with her brother Sonny. Sonny, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, is just one year younger than Charli. As a puppy, Charli was so fiesty and sassy. Her first night with me was actually at my Dad's house. I intended to name her 'Cara' which means "friend" but my Dad took one look at her and said "That's not a Cara, that dog is a Charli!" And Charli, short for Charlotte, she became. Don't worry, she's still sassy and a bit feisty but we've come so far! In Charli's spare time, she enjoys outings to day care and the groomer.
